The Armstrong Youth Orchestra program will perform a Fall Concert Showcase on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 3 p.m. The concert will be held in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Armstrong Campus of Georgia Southern University in Savannah.

Easter Weekend Schedule Reminders
On Easter weekend, April 20 & 21, Saturday ensembles WILL meet, but the Sunday AYO ensemble will NOT meet.
Rehearsal Schedule Changes Around St. Patrick’s Day
Because of the St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Savannah on Saturday, March 16, there will be NO REHEARSALS the weekend of March 16 & 17. Instead, ensembles will hold make-up rehearsals on Wednesday, March 13.
Saturday Ensembles to Rehearse at First Presbyterian Church on March 9
On March 9th, the Saturday ensembles will rehearse in a new location. DSE, SSE, LSE and RYO will meet at First Presbyterian Church, located at 520 Washington Avenue.
Julia Sellman Wins AYO Young Artist Concerto Competition
Congratulations to violinist Julia Sellman, the winner of the 2019 AYO Young Artist Concerto Competition. She will perform the first movement of the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Armstrong Youth Orchestra during our spring concert, April 29th.
Rehearsal Update! DSE, SSE and LSE WILL Rehearse Feb. 23!
Students and parents of Debut Strings, Lyric Strings, and Serenade Strings – we have an important rehearsal schedule change to announce! The previously cancelled rehearsal on Saturday, Feb. 23 is now back on the schedule! Please plan to rehearse on Saturday, Feb. 23 at your normal place and time. There will be NO makeup rehearsal on Feb. 20th.
Spring Semester Begins January 19
Welcome orchestra students! This weekend, January 19 and 20, marks the beginning of our new semester. All rehearsals take place in the Fine Arts Building on the Armstrong Campus of Georgia Southern University.
