The Armstrong Youth Orchestra is planning to resume in-person instruction for students in September. Social distancing, mask-wearing, self-monitoring and other safety protocols will be strongly recommended.
We will not be having live auditions for this Fall Semester, but will require all students to email an audition video of the requirements for the ensemble they want to join.
Audition deadlines vary by ensemble and instrument.
- DSE-SSE-LSE-RYO Strings: August 26th at 11:59 PM.
- RYO Woodwinds and Brass: August 30th at 11:59 PM
- All AYO Strings/Woodwinds/Brass: September 3rd at 11:59 PM.

String players will have their own music stands and will not share with another student. We will space students out at least 6 feet. Parents will be asked to take their child’s temperature before they attend each rehearsal. Students will be required to wear a mask upon entering the building and asked to wash their hands. We will have a monitor in each bathroom holding the door open for them.
